State Revenue Service (SRS) informs that on 30 September 2010 at 10.00 am at Riga Technical University (RTU) Hall in Riga, Kaļķu street 1 an informative meeting-seminar will take place to introduce customs clients with e-services provided by the European Commission.
The informative meeting-seminar is organized by the SRS National Customs Board in collaboration with Commission’s Taxation and Customs Union Directorate-General and RTU International Business and Customs Institute. The visitors of the meeting will be informed on actual issues in the sphere of customs by the representatives of Commission’s Taxation and Customs Union Directorate-General and the officials of Latvian Ministry of Finance and SRS National Customs Board.
During the meeting the representatives of Commission’s Taxation and Customs Union Directorate-General will introduce the audience with the e-services provided by the Commission. The new European Customs Information Portal will be presented for the meeting participants; it is being created to provide the possibility for businessmen to get all information on conditions of importing, exporting or transit of goods into the EU territory. The first phase of the project was implemented on 31 March 2010 including the well-structured information on Community, including the information concerning amendments to Community’s Customs code on safety and security.
Also the participants of the seminar will receive the information on Commission’s e-learning courses and customs data bases, where every external trade participant will be able to find the necessary topical information.
In its turn the officials of Latvian Ministry of Finance and SRS National Customs Board will inform the seminar participants on changes in laws and regulations of customs issues.
Customs and businessmen consultation board members, representatives of transport, logistics and other sectors professional unions, mass media representatives, etc. are welcomed at the seminar.
