Currently, the UK is still part of the EU Single Market and Customs Union, so free movement of goods between the EU and the UK will continue until the end of the transition period (31 December 2020). Once the transition period ends, businesses and individuals will be obliged to clear goods moving from the EU to the UK and from the UK to the EU.
