The declarant may make amendments to the import declaration (within three years from the date of its acceptance) or, in exceptional cases, invalidate it on the basis of post-clearance checks carried out or, in the event of a mistake, when completing the declaration.

Process description

  1. Enquiry step
    For the purpose of amending or declaring invalid, EMDAS (https://eds.vid.gov.lv/login/ - Customs data processing EMDAS) shall be used.
    If amendments/withdrawals to the standard customs declaration are necessary - the declarant shall submit a version of the revised import customs declaration and an application for rectification/annulment of the customs declaration, the relevant supporting documents shall be attached.

    Where amendments/withdrawals to the simplified customs declaration are necessary - the declarant shall submit an application for rectification/annulment of the customs declaration, accompanied by appropriate supporting documents.
