The use of tariff quotas makes it possible to import goods at a reduced or 0% import tariff rate. The declarant has the possibility to apply for a tariff quota within three years from the date of acceptance of the customs declaration after the release of the goods for free circulation if the tariff quota concerned has not been exhausted or the balance is not 0. An application for amendment of the customs declaration shall be made by the EMDAS.
If the European Commission grants a tariff quota after the release of the goods, the State Revenue Service (hereinafter - SRS) shall take a decision regarding the reduction of customs duties.
