Get a service

An application, which shall be completed by an association, foundation or religious organisation wishing to acquire the status of a public benefit organisation.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    When applying for public benefit organisation status, the organization must indicate the preferred method for announcement of the decision. The application must include a completed "Previous annual activity report and future action plan”.
    Documents can be submitted through EDS, electronically with an electronic signature and time stamp to vid@vid.gov.lv; personally at any SRS cleint centre, or by post to Talejas iela 1, Riga, LV-1978.
    SRS will decide on public benefit organisation status within one month of the application submission date. If additional information or documents were requested, SRS will decided within one month from the receipt of this information.

  2. Receipt of services
    The decision on public benefit organisation status shall be communicated by post or on the SRS web site (as indicated in the application).
    Refusal to grant public benefit organisation status shall be notified by post.
