Service requests
Permission to use special seals shall be granted if applicants demonstrate the ability to comply with regulations.
In order to obtain an authorisation, an application shall be made to the Customs Decision System (CDS - EU Trader Portal) using the SRS Electronic Declaration System (EDS) (https://eds.vid.gov.lv/login/ - Connect to European Information Systems - Customs Decision System (CDS - EU Trader Portal) - Applications - New Application).
The customs authority has 30 days to check whether all conditions are fulfilled and will notify the applicant of the decision.
The application date is registered when the customs authority has received all necessary information.Receipt of services
The decision regarding the authorisation for the use of seals of a special type (favourable or unfavourable) shall be communicated by electronic means to the economic operator (applicant) in the Customs decision system.
