Authorised consignors allow businesses (authorised) to present goods for transit procedures at designated locations by submitting customs declarations electronically to SRS and to release goods electronically (without having to present the goods and transit declaration) if customs has not informed the authorised persons of the need to inspect the goods or customs documents.

Process description

  1. Service requests
    To obtain Authorised Consignor permits, the conditions and criteria referred to in Regulation (EC) No. 2015/2446 191, Paragraph 1 and Code, Section 39 (a), (b) and (d) must be complied with.
    Applications must be submitted through the Union Customs Code (SMK) Customs decision system in EDS - “Connect to the European Information Systems”.
    The Customs Authority will review the application within 30 days and inform the applicant of acceptance of the application. If the application is incomplete, the applicant will be notified and has no more than 30 days in which to submit outstanding information. Otherwise, the application will be denied.
    The date of acceptance of the application is the day when all relevant information has been received.
    In order to ensure identification of goods under Union transit procedures, the applicant must also apply for special seals. Permission to use special of seals are based on the same criteria as for receiving consignor status.

  2. Receipt of services
    The decision regarding the authorisation to use the status of authorised consignor in the Union transit procedure (favourable or unfavourable) shall be communicated electronically to the economic operator (applicant) in the Customs decision system.
